Was als Finanzkrise begann hat sich für Unternehmen weltweit zur echten Belastungsprobe entwickelt. So manches Geschäftsmodell erwies sich in der Krise als nicht tragfähig, musste verbessert, manchmal komplett ersetzt werden. 10:50 - 11:30 a.m.	SEPA for German Banks with Oracle EBS (Daphne Schmitz, Toshiba, Neuss, Germany)   Presentation in German language: The SEPA (Single European Payments Area) initiative involves creation of a zone for European countries in which all payments in Euro currency are considered domestic. From business perspective, SEPA can save a high amount of Banking Fees for international payments. From technical perspective, only one Payment Formatting Program needs to be maintained and supported. For Oracle E-Business Suite, a base patch had been delivered in year 2008. This base patch offers a solution based on XML Publisher technology and integrates into AP Payment Setup. Recent tests of this base patch in a German environment have shown that it does not correspond to current version requirements of German banking system. The presentation at DOAG conference will cover: - SEPA overview - SEPA payment file structure - SEPA as delivered by Oracle - SEPA as defined by German Banking System - Modifications via XML Publisher to generate SEPA files valid for German banks - Functional considerations: Setup and Usage, Reporting consequences to Federal Bank	Enabling Agile Businesses with Oracle GRC-Solutions (Frank Schönthaler, PROMATIS, Germany)   The very nature of agile businesses is that they are prepared and enabled for continuous change of business models and strategies. It is obvious that agility demands for forward-looking management techniques and flexible business processes and information systems as well. This presentation deals with these specific demands and points out the strong interactions between business agility and GRC. Based on that an approach for governance-, risk- and compliance management is developed and tailored to Oracle based systems environments. Finally Oracle’s offering for GRC is briefly described, evaluated and structured within a GRC framework.

2:10 - 2:50 p.m.	Oracle GRC Suite und Oracle EBS aus Sicht des internen Kontrollsystems (Alexander Goetz, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Munich, Germany)   Das Module GRC - Governance Risk and Compliance fasst die Oracle Tools zu diesen Themen zusammen. Aus der täglichen Prüfungspraxis im Rahmen von Abschluss- und Sonderprüfungen der Oracle EBS ist unsere Erfahrung, dass GRC in der deutschen EBS Community noch relativ unbekannt ist. GRC bietet jedoch das Werkzeug, Möglichkeiten und Risiken im internen Kontrollsystem der IT als auch der Geschäftsprozesse wirkungsvoll zu begegnen. Dies gilt nicht nur für ein internes Kontrollsystem sondern auch für Kontrollen folgend dem Sarbanes Oxley Act Section 404. Wir möchten Anwendungsmöglichkeiten von GRC in der Oracle EBS in den Bereichen Access controls und Automated Transaction Controls an konkreten Beispielen aus unserem Testsystem aus der Sicht des Wirtschaftsprüfers darstellen. Aus Compliance und Rechnungslegungssicht sehen wir wenige Gründe auf GRC in einem Oracle EBS System zu verzichten.	The Business Value of Virtualizing Oracle E-Business Suite (Haroon Qureshi, Qsolve, Chicago, USA) This presentation illustrates the business value of virtualizing an Oracle eBusiness Suite Applications environment. It documents the virtual infrastructure for development and test environments and the best practices needed to install an Oracle eBusiness Suite instance in a virtualized environment. This presentation also discusses the lifecycle of an Oracle Applications implementation or upgrade and the use of virtualization to illustrate how Oracle EBS environments can be decoupled from hardware infrastructure to enable flexibility and reduce cost. A case study done recently will be discussed to show the business value of virtualization and Oracle eBusiness Suite.

3:20 - 4:00 p.m.	The Complexity of Rollouts of the Oracle E-Business Suite, Rel. 12   (Martin Dvorak, Martin Dvorak Consulting, Aarau, Switzerland)   The presentation will look at the challenges of pan European roll outs where the individual countries have different implementation levels, such as legal, statutory and mentality characteristics.This will be in conjunction of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and will highlight which new features of the Release 12 are supporting these global roll outs. It will also look at the common pitfalls,localizations, legal reports, considerations and data protection. The presentation will conclude with a 12 points recommendations program.
4:00 - 4:40 p.m.	Oracle Financials Globalization Road Map and Vision: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 and Beyond (Jacques Bouchet, Oracle, USA)   Today’s finance organizations have to cope with always more Global and more complex context while pursuing cost efficiency, standardization and centralization. This session discusses key challenges in global finance and how Oracle Financials EBS 12 architecture and features helps manage this and get a glimpse of what are trends for the next Oracle Global Financials releases.
